أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ سِمَاکٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ کَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَی وَفِي الْعَصْرِ نَحْوَ ذَلِکَ وَفِي الصُّبْحِ بِأَطْوَلَ مِنْ ذَلِکَ

اسحاق بن منصور، عبدالرحمن، شعبہ، سماک، جابربن سمرة سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نماز ظہر میں واللیل پڑھتے اور نماز عصر میں اس سورت کے برابر پڑھتے اور نماز فجر میں اس سورت سے لمبی سورت اور طویل سورت پڑھا کرتے تھے جیسے کہ سورت دہر اور سورت مرسلات یا سورت ق اور سورت رحمن۔

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “I have never prayed behind anyone whose prayer more closely resembled that of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم than so-and-so.” (The narrator) Sulaiman said: “He used to make the first two Rak’ahs of Zuhr lengthy and the last two shorter, and he would make ‘Asr shorter; in Maghrib he would recite the short Mufassal Sulrahs, in ‘Isha’ the medium-length Mufassal and in Subh the long Mufassal Surahs.
