أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَّ عَلْقَمَةَ صَلَّی خَمْسًا فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ يَا أَبَا شِبْلٍ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَقَالَ أَکَذَلِکَ يَا أَعْوَرُ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْ السَّهْوِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَکَذَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

سوید بن نصر، عبد اللہ، سفیان، حسن بن عبید اللہ، ابراہیم سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت علقمہ نے ایک روز نماز کی پانچ رکعات پڑھ لی تو حضرت ابراہیم بن سوید نے فرمایا کہ اے ابوشبل! تم نے پانچ رکعات پڑھ لی ہیں انہوں نے کہا کہ ایک آنکھ والے صاحب! یہ بات درست ہے۔ پھر دو سجدے کئے سہو کے بعد۔ اس نے کہا کہ حضرت رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اس طریقہ سے کیا ہے۔

It was narrated from Muhammad bin Yusuf, the freed slave of ‘Uthman, from his father Ydsuf, that Muawiyah prayed in front of them, and he stood up during the prayer when he should have sat. The people said TasbIii, but he remained standing, then he prostrated twice while he was sitting, after he completed the prayer. Then he sat on the Minbar and said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم say: ‘Whoever forgets something in his prayer, let him prostrate twice like this.” (Hasan)
