حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ إِذَا قَعَدَ فِي التَّشَهُّدِ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَی عَلَی رُکْبَتِهِ الْيُسْرَی وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَی عَلَی رُکْبَتِهِ الْيُمْنَی وَعَقَدَ ثَلَاثَةً وَخَمْسِينَ وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ

عبد بن حمید، یونس بن محمد، حماد بن سلمہ، ایوب، نافع، حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب تشہد میں بیٹھتے تھے تو اپنا بایاں ہاتھ اپنے بائیں گھٹنے پر رکھتے اور اپنا دایاں ہاتھ اپنے دائیں گھٹنے پر رکھتے اور تریپن کی شکل بناتے اور شہادت کی انگلی سے اشارہ فرماتے۔

Ibn 'Umar reported that when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) sat for tashahhud he placed his left hand on his left knee. and his right hand on his right knee. and he raised his right finger, which is next to the thumb, making supplication in this way, and he stretched his left hand on his left knee. Another version on the authority of Ibn Umar says: When the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) sat for tashahhud, he placed his left hand on his left knee and placed his right hand on his right knee, and he formed a ring like (fifty-three) and pointed with his finger of attestation.
