سر اور کانوں کے مسح کا بیان

عَنْ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ کَانَ يَأْخُذُ الْمَائَ بِأُصْبُعَيْهِ لِأُذُنَيْهِ عَنْ مَالِك أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ سُئِلَ عَنْ الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْعِمَامَةِ فَقَالَ لَا حَتَّى يُمْسَحَ الشَّعْرُ بِالْمَاءِ-

عبداللہ بن عمر اپنے کانوں کے مسح کے واسطے دو انگلیوں سے پانی لیتے تھے ۔ مالک کو پہنچا کہ جابر بن عبداللہ انصاری پوچھے گئے عمامہ پر مسح کرنے سے تو کہا کہ نہ کرے یہاں تک کہ مسح کرے بال کا پانی سے ۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used two fingers to take water to his ears.

عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ کَانَ يَنْزِعُ الْعِمَامَةَ وَيَمْسَحُ رَأْسَهُ بِالْمَائِ-

عروہ بن زبیر عمامہ سر سے اتار کر سر پر مسح کرتے تھے ۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa that Abu Urwa ibn az-Zubayr used to take off his turban and wipe his head with water.

عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّهُ رَأَی صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ امْرَأَةَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ تَنْزِعُ خِمَارَهَا وَتَمْسَحُ عَلَی رَأْسِهَا بِالْمَائِ وَنَافِعٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ صَغِيرٌ-

نافع سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے دیکھا صفیہ کو جو بیوی تھیں عبداللہ بن عمر کی اتارتی تھیں اس کپڑے کو جس سے سر ڈھانپتے ہیں اور مسح کرتی تھیں اپنے سر پر پانی سے اور نافع اس وقت نابالغ تھے ۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that she saw Safiyya bint Abi Ubayd, the wife of Abdullah ibn 'Umar, take off her head-covering and wipe her head with water. Nafi was a child at the time. Malik was asked about a man who did wudu but forgot to wipe his head until the water had dried. He said, "I consider that he should wipe his head and then repeat the prayer if he has already performed it."
