کتاب الصلوة فی رمضان

رمضان میں تراویح پڑھنے کا بیان

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّی فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَصَلَّی بِصَلَاتِهِ نَاسٌ ثُمَّ صَلَّی اللَّيْلَةَ الْقَابِلَةَ فَکَثُرَ النَّاسُ ثُمَّ اجْتَمَعُوا مِنْ اللَّيْلَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ أَوْ الرَّابِعَةِ فَلَمْ يَخْرُجْ إِلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ قَالَ قَدْ رَأَيْتُ الَّذِي صَنَعْتُمْ وَلَمْ يَمْنَعْنِي مِنْ الْخُرُوجِ إِلَيْکُمْ إِلَّا أَنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ تُفْرَضَ عَلَيْکُمْ وَذَلِکَ فِي رَمَضَانَ-

ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز پڑھی مسجد میں ایک رات تو نماز پڑھی پیچھے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لوگوں نے پھر دوسری رات میں اسی طرح پڑھی تو لوگ بہت آئے پھر لوگ تیسری یا چوتھی رات جمع ہوئے لیکن نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( تراویح ) کے لئے نہیں نکلے ۔ جب صبح ہوئی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا میں نے دیکھا جو تم نے کیا لیکن مجھے کسی چیز نے نکلنے سے نہیں روکا سوائے اس خوف سے کہ کہیں یہ ( تراویح ) تم پر فرض نہ ہوجائے اور یہ قصہ رمضان میں تھا۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Urwa ibn az-Zubayr from A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prayed in the mosque one night and people prayed behind him. Then he prayed the next night and there were more people. Then they gathered on the third or fourth night and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not come out to them. In the morning, he said, "I saw what you were doing and the only thing that prevented me from coming out to you was that I feared that it would become obligatory (fard) for you." This happened in Ramadan.

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يُرَغِّبُ فِي قِيَامِ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَأْمُرَ بِعَزِيمَةٍ فَيَقُولُ مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ فَتُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْأَمْرُ عَلَی ذَلِکَ ثُمَّ کَانَ الْأَمْرُ عَلَی ذَلِکَ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَکْرٍ وَصَدْرًا مِنْ خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ-

ابوہریرہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رغبت دلاتے تھے لوگوں کو تراویح پڑھنے کی راتوں کو اور نہ حکم کرتے تھے بطور واجب کے تو فرماتے تھے آپ جس نے ترایح پڑھی رمضان میں اس کو حق سمجھ کر خاص خدا کے لئے بخشے جائیں گے اگلے گناہ اس کے کہا ابن شہاب نے پس وفات ہوئی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی اور ایسا ہی حال رہا پھر ایسا ہی حال رہا حضرت ابوبکر کی خلافت میں اور شروع شروع حضرت عمر کی خلافت میں

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abu Salama ibn Abd ar-Rahman ibn Awf from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to exhort people to watch the night in prayer in Ramadan but never ordered it definitely. He used to say, "Whoever watches the night in prayer in Ramadan with trust and expectancy, will be forgiven all his previous wrong actions." Ibn Shihab said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, died while that wasstill the custom, and it continued to be the custom in the khalifate of Abu Bakr and at the beginning of the khalifate of Umar ibn al-Khattab."
