It was narrated that Rafi’ bin Khadij said: “While we were with the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم, at Dhul-Hulaifah in Tihamah, they acquired some camels and sheep (as spoils of war). The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم was among the last of the people, and the first of them hastened to slaughter (the animals) and set up pots (for cooking the meat). The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم came and ordered that the pots be overturned, then be divided it making ten sheep equivalent to one camel. While they were like that, a camel ran away. The people had only a few horses, so they went after it and it got away from them. A man shot an arrow at it and stopped it. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘Some of these animals are untamed like wild animals, so if one of them goes out of your control, do the same.” (Sahih)
